Job Description

  • The Senior Legal Counsel is in charge of providing legal assistance to various support functions and to business, dealing with a wide range of legal issues.

Main Activities

  • Review, draft, qualify a wide variety of contracts (MOUs,
    confidentiality agreements, partnership agreements, service
    contracts, operation and maintenance contracts, turnkey projects) and participate in their negotiation.
  • Review and negotiate bank and corporate guarantees.
  • Prepare legal documentation for responses to calls for tenders.
  • Participate in the risk review process by identifying legal and
    contractual risks and provide support to avoid or limit these risks, propose innovative solutions to reduce risks.
  • Provide legal advice.
  • Participate in the opening of legal and tax structures in collaboration with SPIE's head office.
  • Propose to internal client schemes corresponding to their needs.
  • Monitor international and domestic litigation and pre-litigation.
  • Update reporting at least every 3 months.
  • Manage external lawyers.
  • Participate in drafting, updating and developing model clauses and contracts.
  • Prepare internal training modules on legal and insurance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, support the
    implementation and rules of the code of conduct and all applicable ethical procedures.

Profile
Candidate must possess the following:

  • Master's Degree in Law with more than 8 years of experience in a similar position.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector
  • English - working level (written and spoken)
  • Expertise in complex international private law contracts
  • Management Skills.
