The Delta State Polytechnic, established by the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku Law, 2002, is one of the three polytechnics in Delta State, Nigeria, Located in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, Nigeria. The polytechnic offers National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas in Art and Design (Fashion Design and Clothing Technology, and General Art), Business (Accountancy, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Mass Communication, Office Technology Management and Production Operations Management), Engineering (Agriculture and Bio-environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Foundry Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Welding and Fabrication) and Applied Sciences (Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics and Hospitality and Tourism Management).

Overview

• The Candidates for Higher Technical Officer shall be responsible to a Superior officer in the general supervision of works and maintenance services.
• He / She ensures the safety of tools / plants in the Works Department and also takes charge of specific aspect of a project.

Qualifications and Experiences

• The candidates must possess a recognized HND / HNC Credit level in the relevant field (Building) plus NYSC discharge Certificate Or by promotion of a confirmed and suitable Technical Officer with at least three (3) years satisfactory service record on that grade.
• He / She must possess membership of relevant professional Bodies.
