Job Title: Senior Marine Supervisor

The Job:
The appointee will be required to provide marine expertise and supervision to ensure safe and efficient Port and Terminal operations in support of Production, Commercial and Shipping Divisions business targets.
The Duties:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise Marine terminal operations to ensure full and effective implementation of the Port and Terminal Procedures for all visiting vessels at all Bonny Jetties.
- Execute the agreed berthing schedules for Jetties 1 & 2 by implementing the NPA pilot’s integrated schedule, coordinating utilisation of marine support craft. Schedule and ensure safe and effective execution of berthing operations at MOF jetties.
- Monitor HSE and operational and technical performance of Marine Support Craft, Marine Infrastructure and Terminal equipment, reporting deficiencies to the respective responsible unit and suggesting improvements
- Act as Marine focal point in all routine and operational communications, administration and interactions with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including (but not limited to) ISP, CMA, NPA Pilots, CSS, DES & FOB vessels, Ships Agents.
- Monitor, track, record, review and follow up port performance including demurrage and towage.
- Provide input into reviews and updates of Marine procedures and risk assessments.
Qualification/Experience
The right candidate should:
- Possess a minimum of Class 2 Certificate of Competency (Foreign Going) in Marine Navigation
- Possess 5-7 years including service on Gas and or Oil tankers up to and including the rank of 2nd officer on Gas tankers for not less than 2 years or Chief officer on Oil tankers for not less than 3 years in the Oil and Gas or Marine industry, OR
- Alternatively, possess demonstrable experience in a similar role in Marine Terminal Operations
- Not be more than 48 years old as at 31st December, 2014.
