Khenpro Global Services is recruiting on behalf of a client in the Confectionery and Hospitality industry, to fill the position below:

Job Title: Purchasing Officer

Location: Opebi & Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
• Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
• Direct warehouse activities to include receiving, inspecting, shipping and distribution.
• Perform physical inventories as required.
• Consult with other departments to coordinate material service needs.
• Establish standards specifications.
• Solve purchasing related problems.
• Prepare complex bid solicitations, bid analyses, and recommends awards of contract for a wide range of non-standard materials and supplies, including major chemicals capital equipment.
• Ensure materials are delivered according to contract specifications.
• Establish purchasing policies.
• Monitor procedures records for compliance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field may be required.
• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in the relevant management software programs.
• Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Great organizational and planning skills.
• The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
• The ability to follow client specifications.
• Excellent networking and time management skills.
