Miniso has expanded outside of the Japanese market and operates 1,800 stores in Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Africa. It plans to eventually open 6,000 stores worldwide. Its Nigeria subsidiary is Miniso Lifestyle Nigeria Limited.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Engineering Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Role and Responsibilities

  • Inspection and supervision of renovation works and all technical details for the Company
  • Report to direct line manager as well as international engineering department
  • Carry out reconnaissance survey for new and intending store space
  • Request quotation from interested contractors as well as bargain prices.
  • Prepare cost effective labour & material schedule with current market prices.
  • Interactions with international interior designers to get the best designs for new stores
  • Preparing sheet for work program schedule, system management, cost schedule list and renovation material list
  • Coalate engineering cost settlement list with franchisee and account department.
  • Ensuring cost effective repair works by sel as well as third party engagement.
  • Ensure adequate usage of gadgets and materials to achieve durable life span
  • Ensure safety of workers during renovation and subsequent operation.
  • Ensure delivery of work at the appropriate time to always meet target.
  • Sorting and inventory of renovation material at the warehouse
  • Seek approvals from appropriate department in the company to facilitate movement of material from warehouse.
  • Interactions with other department to achieve the company’s organizational goals.
  • Ensure adequate communication with facilities managers on areas of technical concerns.

Additional Notes:

  • Direct labour work by self in order to save cost for the company
  • Store maintenance work to ensure steady operation of all stores.
  • Replace gadgets at the store, office and warehouse.
  • Effective communication with franchisees and franchise department.

Preferred Skills

  • Use of autocad, revit and all office packages
  • Structural design and strutural durability as well as quality assurance
  • Quality control and material testing
  • Effective health and safety management & application
  • Quantity surveying and pricing
  • Adequate technical report writing and picture documentation and detailing.
  • Graphic design and branding including 3d branding and adevrtisement.
