Job Title: Cost Analyst / Financial Planning Officer

Location: Ilesa, Osun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Performs all role around costing using the best acceptable metrics in accordance with SROL costing principles.
  • Adequate knowledge of analysing the financial statement with details top management view decision positionin.
  • Provide a top-notch support for the budget preparation and analysis.

Job Duties

  • Provides basic information required for budgeting and accounting.
  • Ability for collection of service data for further cost analysis.
  • Must crunch numbers, write reports, and provide suggestions for money-saving strategies, documenting their findings in written plans
  • Check Cost coding for all AP invoices with Management Accountant / Financial Accountant
  • Analysing costs incurred, as well as resources utilized for operations
  • Monitors and analyses changes in production design, raw materials, methods of production, or services provided to know their effect on cost.
  • Performs deep data analysis to complete a wide variety of math solutions. Their cost analysis includes potential pricing model changes, new business models, and more
  • Be the champion and driver of all reports on ERP
  • Train users on new processes and Dynamics NAV functionality.
  • Develop data conversion and testing strategies.
  • Perform business requirements analysis and documentation
  • Integration of Excel Models, as a Business and Financial Analyst, and not as an IT Database Specialist, with Corporate Data Warehouses and data from Transaction Processing and Business Intelligence Systems (ERP and BI Systems)
  • Design, build and implement other financial & business models as may be directed by Senior Management
  • Identify key financial and non-financial risks and recommend actions for mitigating those risk
  • Using the model, determine and advice on the likelihood of a shortfall in internal rate of return (IRR) related to the project
  • Cash Waterfall Sequencing (Revenue, Opex., Taxes, Transfer to designated reserve accounts, Cost Recovery, Financing Charges, Profit Distribution etc.)
  • Forecasting of Financial Statements (P&L A/C, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow / Fund Flow Statements etc.) and support Budgetary Control process
  • Optimisation of Capital Mix decisions (Debt, Equity, Working Capital, Fixed Capital etc.

Desired Qualifications / Preffered Competencies

  • A good Degree (any discipline) preferable
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies is required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Cost & Financial Planning
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Nav implementation in mining will be an added advantage.
  • Deep and advanced Excel modelling skills. Proficiency in VBA (added advantage
  • Functional knowledge of the finance, distribution, and production granules; Other areas of functionality such as CRM, Projects, MRP and WMS is a plus
  • Planning, Organization and Analytical skills
  • Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point etc).
