We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, and other types of payment platform.
• Issuing of correct receipts to customers for items purchased.
• Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
• Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
• Ensuring that your Books/ Tills are balanced at the end of every shift.
• Responsible for receiving cash and appropriately giving change (where necessary) to customers.
• Ensuring that our customers are never short-changed.
• Cashier are not allowed to buy anything for themselves on their own tills.
• Making sure that there are no unnecessary queues at the sales points
• Maintaining a high level of discipline in line with company policy.
• Ensuring strict adherence to the shift system and adequately making up for whatever lapses that may occur.
• Upselling of selected store items to customer whenever there is a need to push sales.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND, OND qualification with at least 1 year work experience.
