Goods Receiver at a Leading and Growing Departmental Store - Outsource Africa

Outsource Africa - Our Client, a leading and growing departmental store in Lagos with operations in Benin, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Goods Receiver

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Counting the deliveries and transfers under the direction and supervision of the Goods Receiving Manager - Helping with unloading the incoming goods and materials, and helping with loading the outgoing goods and materials according to the Business Processes
• Send goods to their designated locations in the warehouse, and transfers the goods to the sales floor for further processing or loads the goods in the truck as directed.
• Checking on quality and on volumes based on goods receipt process.
• Optimize storage space within the store warehouse and maintains the order of the warehouse and its inventory, in addition to moving the goods to other storage zones and the sales floor.
• Responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and tools, as well as waste management.

Education Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / OND in relevant fields.
• Lower to mid-level education
• At least 1 year experience working in a warehouse
• Prior experience using moveable operating equipment like forklifts or yard truck

Skills Requirements:

• Accurate and thorough in performing checks.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Hands-on operational skills.
• A keen eye for detail and operational organization.
• Energy, drive and a strong can-do attitude (getting-it-done mentally).
