We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Manager, IT Procurement

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Establishes standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement practices.
  • Source products from established distributors and vendors.
  • Negotiates contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements
  • Gives specific and clear requirements for equipment and services.
  • Manage daily IT hardware/software requests and issue purchase orders as needed.
  • Build new relationships with key technology vendors and follows required sourcing policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Monitor inventory levels, key supply chain metrics and product portfolios and stay up to date with technical trends, emerging technologies.
  • Providing regular updates on all pending procurements request with stakeholders and ensuring timely processing of vendor/service provider invoices and track payments, reconciliation of Vendors account and handling vendor queries and payment issues.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BSc / BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management.
  • 3-5 years experience in the related area (IT Procurement).
  • Experience in technology purchasing and vendor management preferred.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market.
  • Experience in IT products, IT asset life cycle management and vendor management
  • Understanding of processes and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Charisma, presence and strong communication skills.
