We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
We are currenting recruiting for the role of a Warehouse Manager whose responsibilities will be as stated below:

  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling requirements by studying existing and new legislations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Plan work rotas and assign tasks appropriately.
  • Produce reports and statistics weekly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods from delivery vans or trucks.
  • Confirm that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
  • Recording any damaged, missing, or faulty goods
  • Signing the delivery form, once satisfied that the goods are complete
  • Coordinate the moving of goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment
  • Labelling of goods
  • Allocating storage space to goods
  • Coordinate the relocating and re-stacking of goods to make space for a new delivery/client.
  • Keeping records (often computerized) of goods, their location and quantity
  • Supervise the picking goods that have been ordered
  • Keeping records of goods which have been picked
  • Coordinate the preparation dispatch notes and labels.
  • Supervise the moving and stacking of goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using machinery
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Operations Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / HND
  • 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
  • Reporting and Documentation Skills
