Job Description
- We are looking to hire a French speaking and writing translator who will be responsible for translating, interpreting written and oral business documents, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone.
Key Deliverables
- Reviewing documents and researching industry-specific terminology.
- Converting verbal and written documents in English to French Language.
- Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone.
- Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation as necessary.
- Proofread translated texts.
- Follow up with Management to ensure translation needs are met
- Assist management in telephone meetings with French/English or English/French interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in French, Communications or related field.
- 2- 4 years of experience as a French Translator.
Preferred Requirements:
- Proven translation and editing skills.
- Excellent communication in French, written and verbal.
- Excellent command of English, to be able to interpret correctly.
- Excellent command of the French language, equivalent to that of an educated native speaker.
- Aware of linguistic and cultural differences within the French language
- Good Analytical Skills.
- Familiarity with translation software.
