Livestock Feeds Plc is a subsidiary of UACN, engaged in production of Animal Feeds and other related products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Filter Mechanic

Location: Aba, Abia

Responsibilities

  • Carry out an effective maintenance schedule for plant and machinery to ensure that they are available for optimum utilization.
  • Carry out day to day repairs on machines and equipment as breakdown occurs in order to make them available for optimum use.
  • Carry out day to day maintenance activities of the factory line equipment, to achieve prompt line start up.
  • Monitor generator fuel consumption to check abnormal situations.
  • Carry out fabrications, welding on plant and machinery when required.
  • Resolves issues relating to plumbing and pipes system.
  • Ensures proper illumination of the premises and production areas.
  • Promotes good manufacturing practice by inculcating standard hygienic practices in the maintenance team.
  • Assist in diagnosis and resolution of electrical fault.
  • Ensure proper technical tools management.
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly machines monitoring condition at all time.
  • Drive loss elimination on all lines
  • Proper recording of maintenance activities carried out on plants and machineries.
  • Handles other jobs as may be assigned by engineering and maintenance manager.

Qualifications

  • OND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related course / A trade test certificate and technical school certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a manufacturing firm.
  • Below 30 years.
