Job Title: Upholstery Trainee
Location: Berger, Olowora, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Meeting with clients and design agents to discuss upholstery ideas.
- Dismantling furniture for upholstery preparation
- Measuring and cutting leather or fabric with the aid of design stencils.
- Stretching out and installing fabric or leather coverings.
- Stitching, gluing, and nailing fabric into place.
- Smoothing out imperfections.
Qualification / Experience / Skills
- SSCE / NABTEB / Trade test Certification in Upholstery or successful completion of an Upholstery apprenticeship.
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Dexterity
- Time Management
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate heavy objects.
- Open to learning.
- Teachable and trainable
