Job Title: Trainee Carpenter
Location: Berger, Olowora - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Details
- Ability to Clean equipment, facilities and work area in order to maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Ability to install wooden structural components such as timbers or lumber with glue, screws, pegs, or nails and install hardware.
- Ability to measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.
- Ability to drill holes in construction materials.
- Ability to cut wood components for installation
- Ability to select tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transport items to work site.
Qualification / Experience/ Skills
- SSCE / NABTEB / Trade test Certification in Carpentry / Furniture Making or successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship.
- Proven experience as carpenter
- In-depth experience in working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Vast in the use of electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance.
