We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests when they arrive at a restaurant or café
• Introduces guests to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials
• Takes guests' orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket
• Passes guest orders along to kitchen staff for preparation
• Prepares drinks and serves them to customers
• Collects food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct, and serves them to guests
• Ensures that guests are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary
• Staying attentive to the needs of guests in the dining area
• Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
• Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
• Meets with managers and wait staff daily or regularly in order to learn about menu changes and specials as well as discuss upcoming reservations and customers with special needs
• Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food

Requirements

• Possess an SSCE qualification with a minimum of 2 - 3 years work experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pay attention to details and multi-task.
• Must be a person of proven integrity.
• Positive attitude to guests.
• Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.
