Save the Children is looking for experienced development professionals to work within the Nigeria Country Programme. These roles will be critical for the delivery of results for children expected by this programme.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Senior Community Engagement Specialist

Job Description
  • She/he will work with the project team and partners to develop advocacy and communication strategies for the NEI+ education project, participates in national capacity building and advocacy/communication strengthening initiatives related to the education project and contributes to the sustainability and local ownership of its programming.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in communications or related social science field with substantial experience in advocacy and policy development /research in the development context;
  • Good understanding of the possibilities and tactics for influencing decision and policy makers, politicians, donors, and other key actors; Knowledge of the media and its role in raising awareness and shaping public policy;
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrable ability to think strategically, innovatively and practically to ensure achievement of desired change objectives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences at local, state and national levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain.
