Job Title: Head of Human Resources and Admin

Location:
Ibadan, Oyo

Summary of Duties:

HR - Section
  • Proactively engage with all stakeholders at all levels to promote a results-driven, merit-based organisational culture geared towards long-term, sustainable, success
  • Implementation of all people processes (recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, talent development), thus enabling functional managers to constantly achieve their objectives
  • Establish and lead organizational initiatives that will support the development and growth of the business and organisational effectiveness (e.gsuccession planning)
  • Development and implementation of competitive and sustainable compensation plan
  • Foster and safeguard industrial peace
Admin - Section
  • Proactive and cost-efficient facility management
  • World-class general housekeeping both for the factory and the offices (e.eg: regular pest control, servicing of office equipment, PABX, etc)
  • Management of all company vehicles (i.ecars, buses, trucks & motorbikes), ensuring they are well maintained, safe and properly insured at all times
  • Identifies, inspects and vets properties prior the company wishes to lease
  • Procurement NAFDAC approvals
  • Procurement and renewal of all statutory licenses
  • Co-ordinates all SHE related matters; develops and implements such policies
  • Provides physical security to all company locations
  • Runs the canteen/cafeteria
  • Provides office stationery and related services
  • Provides utilities including office telephones, mobile phones, etc.
  • Manages the filing, storage and security of official documents.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diverse HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior position (Head of HR, Deputy Head or HR manager) coupled with some admin experience
  • Previous exposure to a manufacturing setup is essentialHaving worked with a top-notch
  • organisation highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in succession planning and talent development
  • Ability to proactively maintain accord at all levels of the organisation, reduce conflict and promote a harmonious yet performance-based and results-oriented culture
  • Demonstrable capability in designing, deploying, maintaining and updating policies and procedures
  • Experience in working with unions and proactively preventing industrial conflict
  • Proven recruitment experience
  • Solid analytical skills to proactively tackle root cause of people issues
