We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Asaba, Delta

Job Description
Job schedule among others includes:

  • Assisting in Tax audit and ensuring Statutory remittances are done as scheduled
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and yearly financial reports
  • Provide support with compliance to Government finance policies, laws, and regulations
  • Provide account and finance support to the department
  • Rearrange expenses according to their categories for the 2021 audit
  • Liaise with Banks on all transactions of the company
  • Assist in inventory reconciliation
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and Pentagon Finance and Accounting Procedures
  • Dealing with sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Calculating and checking payments, amounts, and records to ensure they are correct.
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
  • Clearing debit balances and dealing with unallocated payments.
  • Assisting with other Finance and Audits schedules.

Education & General Requirements

  • BSc in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Proven accounting experience
  • Familiarity in Bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases ( highly proficient in Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Ability and willingness to be a Team player
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize; planning skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company and motivated to take on an additional task
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Highly organized and multi-tasking who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy and thoroughness when executing tasks
  • IT Savvy.
