Job Description

• The incumbent will be required to bring his expertise on Electrical Commissioning to the commissioning of electrical equipment on an offshore platform, including the following:

MV/HV Bays GIS type (3.3kV to 11kV):

• Supervision of mechanical assembly bays
• Post-installation checks
• Mechanical and Electrical checks
• Programming and commissioning of the control command
• Pre-commissioning and Commissioning
• Startup of the electric arc detectors
• Surge arresters
• Local operation
• Verification and validation of electrical and mechanical interlocks
• Contact resistance test
• HV Test
• Commissioning of the electrical current and voltage transformers

 Protection Relay (3.3kV to 11kV):

• Coordination and organization of the cable pulling of LV cables of different organs with the control command
• Testing and programming of electrical protection
• Cubicle wiring and power distribution
• Protection relay setting & parameters
• Protection relay secondary injection test
• Trip & lockout test
• BCU - configuration & test
• Current circuit test
• Voltage circuit test
• Primary injection test
• Electrical and Mechanical Testing of HT panel types
• Modification of wiring diagrams

 Power Transformers (LV/3.3kV, ) & Grounding Reactors:

• Post-installation checks
• Mechanical and Electrical checks
• Tap changer operation
• Auxiliary equipment control & test
• Transformer electrical tests

 LVDC Distribution System (24V/230V):

• Post Installation checks
• Insulation Test
• Circuit Logic et protection check
• Battery charger check
• Battery check
• Circuits distribution
• Post Installation checks
• Insulation Test
• Circuit Logic et protection check

 MODBUS:

• Signal exchange tests 

Functional Testing of HV and LV Electrical Equipment:

• LV Pump Motors
• HV Pump Motors
• UPS
• HV SWB
• LV SWB
• Lighting and Small Power equipment

Profile

• Senior electrical technician in the commissioning of offshore oil and gas facilities, with 4 to 8 years experience and the relevant electrical habilitation trainings.
