Mobilizing for Development (M4D) is an innovative governance programme aimed at supporting the improvement of MDG related service delivery and accountability at the local government level in Nigeria. we work in nine LGAs in three states (Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa) and help facilitate the inclusion of excluded group, especially adolescent girls and people with disabilities, in decision making processes as well as supporting the capacity of policy makers and service providers to respond and be accountable white innovating new and better-fit way of service delivery and accountability. M4D sets out to leverage Nigeria's existing MDG Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) concept so scale up technical and capacity support for local government authorities (LGAs) and local-level civil society and community-based organizations (CSOs and CBOs) In each of the local governments,two (2) Community Development Outreach Officers will work, reporting to she State Local Governance Advisor.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (based in National Office in Kano)

Key Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will be reporting to the Results, Monitoring and Evaluation and Knowledge Management Advisor, this post will provide support to deliver the growing routine monitoring and evaluation responsibilities within M40.
  • This covers supporting the development and maintenance of M&E systems arid processes, the routine gathering of M&E data, support to state and LGA teams in their monitoring roles support the lead advisor on knowledge management issues as well as ensuring robust documentation and records management.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have been educated to degree level (in a relevant statistical or social science discipline), have three years experience (preferably on a donor programme), and sound data gathering and analysis experience.
  • With good report-writing arid monitoring capabilities, the poss.holder will demonstrate a strong grasp of IT skills (SPSS, CS Pro, Ms Access and Eccel) relevant for monitoring and evaluation and have strong interpersonal skills to work across teams effectively.
  • The candidate should have strong networking Skills, very good report-writing skills excellent written and spoken English skills and be very proficient in Hausa language as well.
