Job Description
- This role is primarily responsible for providing technical support on IT network infrastructure and maintaining the IT network infrastructure environment.
- The Job Holder would report to the Head, Information Technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research, analysis and define hardware and software network infrastructure.
- Ensure availability and smooth running of IT network infrastructure environment within the Organisation.
- Plan, design, and maintain data networks and servers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, processes and procedures including; security, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, quality management, systems management, incident and problem management, change and configuration management, and service level agreements.
- Provide training and guidance on hardware and operating software to other ICT staff.
- Plan, design and implement data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
- Liaise with third party suppliers of hardware and software.
- Administer day-to-day operation of networks and servers.
- Ensure adequate capacity on existing IT infrastructures and oversee the upgrade/migration of existing infrastructures when required.
- Operate, maintain, develop and ensure the security of Printers, Faxes, Desktop Applications and other auxiliary equipment and peripherals.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.
- Relevant professional qualification and certifications (CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, CCNP, CCSP, and A+) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years work experience of which at least 2 years should have been in similar function.
Key Competency Requirements:
- Working knowledge of network architecture, topologies, design, management, switching and routing including server, LAN and WAN management.
- A good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol.
