Job Description
- This role is primarily responsible for promoting the Organisation's corporate image and managing the interface with media and the general public.
- The Job Holder would report to the Assistant Director, Corporate Communications.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide effective support to the management of the various aspects of the Organisation’s media relations strategy, including handling of media queries, interviews and press conferences.
- Support the Implementation of effective media / public relations and crisis management systems and processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to defined policies and procedures governing both internal and external information dissemination.
- Liaise with media and public relations agencies.
- Provide quality support in the planning, organizing and convening of public relations and corporate events.
- Ensure timely and prompt implementation of the internal communication plan.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or any relevant discipline.
- A post graduate / relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of three 3 years work experience.
Key Competency Requirements
- Good appreciation of strategies and key concepts in communication management.
- Good understanding of image management.
- Good appreciation and understanding of media relations
