Job Description
- This role is primarily responsible for overseeing the administration of the Defined Benefit Scheme for a particular category of pensioners.
- The Job Holder would report to the Executive Secretary and has oversight of the Pensions division.
Duties Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with approved work plans and programs whilst providing guidance, leadership and strategic direction in the day-to-day activities of the department.
- Establish and implement adequate controls to mitigate erroneous, delayed, inaccurate and fraudulent payments to pensioners
- Ensure prompt payment of pension for all pensioners under the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Develop and implement the Agency's strategy, objectives, work plans and ensure alignment with its approved goals.
- Provide support in resolving all complaints of pensioners under the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.
- Ensure that pensioners records are accurately maintained.
- Serve as a liaison with the relevant bodies / Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other Social Science discipline.
- Post graduate / relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 18 years work experience of which at least 3 years should have been in a management position
Key Competency Requirements
- A good knowledge of the regulations and legislations governing pensions.
- A good understanding and historical knowledge of the basis for benefit calculations.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal
