Job Title: Accountant
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly accounting close procedures, account reconciliations and addresses follow-up items as necessary.
- Assist with billing administration and accounting.
- Perform inventory analysis including costing and reserves.
- Assist Controller with technical accounting matters including revenue recognition.
- Execute administration of stock-based compensation and associated accounting.
- Review general ledger activity, researching and correcting account discrepancies.
- Perform month-end account analysis and reconciliation over general ledger accounts. Research and resolve any reconciling items on a monthly basis.
- Perform variance analysis including budget-to-actual and current-to-prior year fluctuations.
- Coordinate accounting entries with other departments and accounting system modules.
- Generate general ledger and financial reports from the accounting system and review for accuracy.
- Assist in maintenance of documentation of policies, procedures and controls.
Education/Experiences
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- ACCA or ACA would be an advantage
- Technical accounting skills must be strong.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Result oriented
