Job Title: Fabric Layer
Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Spreads layers of fabrics on table preparatory to marking cutting parts for sewing.
- Unreels successive lengths of fabric onto table, spreading each length evenly on length beneath.
- Places weights on fabric, fastens edges of fabric lay, using stapler, or clamps edges of fabric to hold material in position for cutting.
- May measure specified length of material to be cut according to work order or verbal instructions.
- May cut out parts, using scissors.
- May assemble cut garment parts.
- May work as member of two-person team position, secure with metal rules, and cut cloth, using shears, rather than folding successive layers, to allow front surface of each layer to face upwards.
Requirements
- O'level qualification
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year and above
- Proven work experience as a fabric layer or similar role is a plus
- Meticulous and pays attentions to details
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Must be living in or close to Okota area.
