Description

  • Own and positively develop relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers within targeted customers and sectors.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of all technical pre-sales presentations and demonstrations.
  • Drive new sales opportunities by proactively engaging with the technical community within targeted industries.
  • Engage with potential customers capturing and documenting business requirements, proposing and presenting a technical solution.
  • Engage with customers as a trusted advisor, listening and understanding their challenges and specific requirements. Articulate customer needs to both the Technical and Sales teams.
  • Manage and lead the project and delivery plans ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Work with the CTO and development teams, research and develop appropriate working solutions and value propositions to meet business objectives.
  • Scope and clearly translate defined requirements, proposed solutions, and value propositions into tenders, proposals/Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Present and articulate our value proposition to customers at all levels within the organization for both technical and business audiences
  • Be the ‘voice-of-customer’, channeling constructive feedback from customers, prospects, and partners providing market-driven insight to our product roadmap.
  • Professionally represent the company at conference events, forums, and webinars.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and act as the company brand ambassador.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Must have a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Systems or related, with a focus on IT Security being highly desirable.
  • Must have at least 5 years of strong hands-on experience in IT Security with at least 2 years in technical solutions and presales.
  • Must be comfortable working within a start-up environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Must have working technical knowledge of security technologies (across multiple domains such as Firewall, Network IPS, SIEM, DLP, Cloud Security, etc), information security concepts, and familiar with security products (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, Splunk, etc) and the security marketplace.
  • Understanding of commercial concepts applicable to the sales process, e.g. budget cycles, pricing.
  • Demonstrate strong project management principles.
  • One of the industry-leading qualifications is preferable (CISA, CIMA, CEH, OSCP, CEH, CISSP)
  • Must have worked in an IT firm.
