Job Title: Team Member, Analytics & Insight

Job Summary

• Analyze data using statistical techniques to build efficient models that will guide business decisions, support products development, process improvement and monitor business performance in the retail segment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Extract and analyze data to develop models using machine learning and other statistical techniques to preempt customers’ most probable needs to support products uptake, customer retention and process improvements.
• Develop customer segmentation framework using data driven techniques to cluster customers into logical groups.
• Organize ETL procedures to maintain data marts to support ad hoc data request and analytics.
• Develop dynamic and intuitive dashboards to visualize and monitor key retail metrics and indices.
• Collate and analyze transactions on channels, product penetration, demography and behavioural patterns as well as organizing market research data to provide insight into customer needs and preferences.
• Work closely with retail teams to identify business needs and opportunities, use data to propose effective solutions.
• Support data governance, data integrity and quality data assurance processes.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of 2nd class lower in First Degree preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant analytical fields.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Business intelligence / MIS role or any other relevant data analyst role in a Bank or financial institution.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in database interrogation and analysis tools such as SQL, Knime, SAS, PowerBI, Excel, Tableau.
• Programming proficiency preferably in either python or R.
• Explorative data analysis skills
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of statistics, machine learning and data structure.
• Business Reporting and communication skills.
