Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The HR Manager’s duties will involve managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and talent management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs by developing, engaging, motivating, and preserving human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall human resource strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Keep the pay plan and benefits program in place.
  • Assess training requirements in order to implement and monitor training programs
  • HR metrics are used to report to management and provide decision support.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field is required.
  • 3 - 4 years of work experience in driving HR initiatives and strategy.
  • Must be able to create and implement a people management framework as well as champion organizational culture.
  • Outstanding communication and people management abilities.
  • Ability to create a strategy as well as leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence in developing and managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Should be a male (for gender balance within the department).
