Job Title: Network Operation Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

• Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools
• Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Mitigating risks, control costs, and schedule variance for large scale projects
• Offer technical assistance in regard to network design, implementation, and integration of network changes.
• Responsible for implementing high-level network infrastructures, configurations, troubleshooting the problems, and administering the security of the entirety of the network systems. Highly skilled in planning, designing and managing the different types of networks to carry out smooth communication and connection in terms of wireless network services, data, voice, and video.
• Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services e.g. access products, service networks and core network.
• Design, implementation, and management of the various telecommunication networks, including data networks (internet), and voice network (conference call technology) used in the organization.
• Will be in charge of Programming language like Python, Perl, or C++, Java, etc
• Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services e.g. access products, service networks and core network

KPI

• Routing and switching [stability of neighbor connections and paths]
• Wireless [signal strength, interference].
• Management [time to perform common services, status of network documentation, mean time to repair MTTR].
• Supporting infrastructure [power, cooling, and backup monitoring].

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Programming or any relevant course.
• Must be good with relevant IT tools.
• Experience in the telecommunication company/ industry will be an added advantage.
• Certification in programming, Networking and any other related course will be an added advantage.
• Must have at least 5 years working experience as a Network Operation Engineer.
• Must be good with cloud computing.
• Service restoration for complex faults Technology & Solution based.
• Installation and implementation of various network devices.
• Firewall and security skills.
• Great Problem-solving Skills.
