Job Title: Senior Community Engagement Support Advisor

REF: PSS 010
Location: Bonny Island, Rivers

Job Description

  • Responsible for the provision of support services for all community stakeholder engagement activities - logistics support, reports, documentation
  • Handle all field engagements and interfaces that will guarantee the efficient management of community infrastructure projects via robust community sensing and intelligence gathering, information dissemination, and maintenance of social networks for purposes of advising the business
  • Strategically map stakeholders to understand their influence and interrelations and offer necessary guidance to management in the management of social risks associated with projects
  • Work with relevant stakeholders, and the stakeholder engagement team to ensure effective engagement with communities and contractors to get input into the development of the project management plan for company and its management of non-technical risks
  • Responsible for the interface with 3rd Party Contractor Companies to ensure their adherence with local employment protocols and implementation of agreed CSR commitments with stakeholders
  • Scale up the reporting and implementation of identified business commitments (inclusive of elements from the Bonny Dubai Vision)
  • Implement knowledge management principles through application of tools and methodologies to continuously improve and sustain business performance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Social Science or Engineering or any comparable discipline from a reputable University
  • A minimum of eight (8) years postgraduation experience, out of which three (3) must have been in a stakeholder engagement / management, social investment or public relations function in a reputable organization preferably in the Oil & Gas industry or in a reputable Consulting firm (KPMG, PwC, Accenture, etc.)
  • Certification / Membership of relevant Communications / Public Relations professional bodies such as - International Association of Business Communicators (IABC); Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR); International Public Relations Association (IPRA) is an added advantage
  • Must be vast in community stakeholder engagement / management and capable of providing support for field engagement activities (logistics support, reports, documentation, etc.) to guarantee the efficient management of community interfaces via the robust use of tools for community sensing and intelligence gathering, information dissemination, and maintenance of social networks for purposes of advising the business
  • Must be knowledgeable in strategic stakeholder mapping and management of non-technical social risks associated with infrastructure projects (including interface management with 3rd Party Contractor Companies) to guarantee the social license to operate is sustained

Nigeria Oil & Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act Compliance

  • In accordance with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Content Act of 2010 requirement, AEWA is actively recruiting Nigerian professionals with expertise in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry
  • The selected candidates will join AEWA's clients in its goals to create sustainable value to the Nigerian Economy through systematic development of capability and capacity transfer to Nigerian workforce.

Compensation

  • Compensation and grade level will be commensurate with the professional training and experience of the successful candidate.
