KesleyGreene Farms situated in the South-West region of Nigeria, is an organic food company specialized in the processing and distribution of high-quality fresh farm produce for consumption in and around Nigeria.

We are driven by the need to promote sustainable agro foods for the country and beyond, by bridging the gap in healthy, fresh, and affordable food shortage in the country, as well as correct the all accepted norm that availability of healthy, fresh food, and maintaining a healthy diet is expensive and only accessible to the elite and rich.

We aim at practicing a ‘Zero Farm-Based Farming System’, where we practice natural growth of crops without adding any fertilizers and pesticides or any other foreign elements; and all that is consumed and produced on the farm is judiciously utilized through a proven modern farming system.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Iguiye Community, Before Ovia River Bridge, Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Keep record of all assets, liabilities, revenue and expense entries for KelseyGreene Farm
  • Reconcile spending with budget as part of job costing
  • Maintain and balance company accounts by verifying, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Summarize financial status of the company by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss and other statements.
  • Proper record keeping and management of funds in maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balance and reconciling entries.
  • Compile and analyse account information from the company for use by the management
  • Recommend methods and strategies for cutting cost
  • Ensure returns are made to regulatory bodies (VAT, P-A-Y-E, consumption tax, etc) as and when due
  • Maintenance of adequate records of all contracts and projects
  • Ensure all pending tax issues are resolved accordingly
  • Develop financial policies and operational procedures for revenue allocation, fund management and remittances
  • Automation of accounting records and use of accounting software for all financial processes in KelseyGreene Farm
  • Process payroll and ensure salaries are remitted to staff accounts latest 28th of every month
  • Develop revenue and expenditure cycle reports
  • Daily report to ensure smooth and efficient run of daily financial operations on the Farm
  • Develop reporting templates to ensure accurate report in addition to weekly submission and review of report
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports to management that will show the growth opportunities & overall business performance

Requirements
Education:

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant

Experrience:

  • At least 2-3 years experrience post ICAN qualification.

Skills:

  • Articulate, proactive, Good Decision making & problem solving skills
  • Use of Accounting software would be an added advantage.

Remuneration
N150,000 - N200,000.00 / month.
