Description
- We are looking for Blasting Helper who will be assisting in filling blast holes with explosives and detonate explosives to dislodge limestone and rock.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure proper handling of explosives and accessories.
- Assemble primer charges using selected detonators, fuses, detonating cords and other materials.
- Assist in loading explosives in blast holes by hand or direct movement of bulk explosives trucks to load holes.
- Handle, store and transport explosives and accessories in accordance with regulations and ensure that safety procedures are observed.
- Achieve good fragmentation through proper stemming and good connection at all time.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Blaster from time to time.
Requirements
- A Primary school certificate.
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience in blasting.
