External Auditor at a Non-Bank Financial Institution

A Non-Bank Financial Institution is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: External Auditor

Location: Asaba, Delta

Responsibilities

• Preparation of annual financial statement report in compliance to CBN's requirement and other auditing standards.
• Performing audits on systems, operations and accounts.
• Reporting audit findings and recommending improvements.
• Systematic check on the company's spending to improve organizational efficiency.
• Prepare balance sheets and audit statements.
• Conduct and attend meetings with senior management to share financial findings
• Keep a check on processes and regulations, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations by CBN, IFRS, etc.
• Work closely with the CFO and the MD/CEO to increase the financial efficiency of the Bank amongst others.
• Ensure accuracy of financial information
• Follow up on audit recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Recognized professional accounting certification.
• Membership of professional bodies (e.g. ICAN, ANAN, etc.) is mandatory
• Minimum of 8 years experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a combination thereof, preferably in the Financial Services/Banking Industry.
• IFRS9 financial auditing module compliant

General Requirements:

• Evidence of the Firm's registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
• The Firm's profile, including past experience with respect to similar jobs which have been successfully handled, list of clients, and detailed CV, professional qualification and certification of the key staff (Lead Auditor), etc.
• Evidence of financial capability (Bank reference)
• Audited accounts of the Firm for the last three years.
• Evidence of VAT registration and valid tax clearance certificates for the last three years.
• Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act of 2014.
