Job Title: Head of Human Resources (HR)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Reporting To: Principal Partner

Job Summary

  • We are recruiting a Head of HR to oversee all aspects of human resource practices and coordinate the administrative functions of the organization.
  • The successful candidate will be a consummate and credible human resource manager and administrator.

Main Duties 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, initiatives and policies aligned with the Organization’s corporate objectives
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Create and implement comprehensive manuals that ensure the formal communication of all policies and procedures regarding employee engagement, retention and termination, compensation, workplace conduct, and performance reviews.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

  • A Degree holder preferably in Social Sciences or any related field.
  • Proven work experience as HR Manager (minimum of 3 years experience)
  • Experience in HR Strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems.
  • Working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour and Employment Laws.
  • Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people
  • Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual
