Job Description
- Development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.
- Develop recommendations for product offerings, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and valuations.
- Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations and pitchbooks.
- Develop relationships with new and existing clients to expand the business.
- Perform due diligence, research analysis (economic outlook, sector report, equity note, Daily market report) and documentation of transactions.
- Create presentations for client portfolios.
- Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news.
- Understand and maintain all existing models related to assigned sector and market coverage.
- Initiate new models that the unit does not currently have and other relevant models for analyzing Nigeria's macroeconomic conditions.
- Contribute to the half-yearly and quarterly strategy and outlook reports. Produce periodic macroeconomics and investment-related reports for domestic and offshore based investors.
- Produce insightful reports on new policies and/or initiatives from the FGN, CBN, DMO, and other economic managers.
- Participate in the company's roadshows, conference calls, and telemarketing.
- Complete and respond to bespoke and ad-hoc client requests.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or business background, particularly on the quantitative side
- B.Sc or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel and power-point.
- Finance related Professional Qualification is an added advantage.
- Ability to work cross functionally to drive business initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.
- Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
- A flexible approach to meet changing needs and deadlines
- Selfâmotivated, excellent attention to details and enjoys working in a team
- Enthusiasm and commitment are essential to complete activities.
