Job Title: Hydro Power Plant Manager (GM)

Responsibilities
  • We are currently representing a Power & Energy Consortium who are seeking to identify a Power Plant GM to join one of their Hydro Power Plant in Western Nigeria.
  • This is a long-term contract opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in managing Hydro Power Plants, particularly in emerging markets or newly privatized environments as is the case with the current plant.
  • Main scope of work will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant, as well as the associated equipment, infrastructure and systems. Being a newly privatized plant, a lot of focus will be to promote change management and drive positive behaviors in creating a work culture focused on efficiency and safety.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive experience in the Power Sector, with a minimum of 5 years managing hydro power plant operations
  • Significant experience in leading Power Plant Operation Teams
  • Demonstrated success in driving change management and driving continuous improvement, and improvement in power plant operation process
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems of power electric systems
  • Strong exposure to P&L Management covering: costs and budgeting.
Remuneration
  • $130,000 + Benefits.
