Unicane Industries Limited was established and incorporated as a private limited company in the year 2013 under the company Acts of 1990. Unicane Industries Limited is a member of a long-standing group in Nigeria founded in 1953.The group is a leading ethanol producer in Africa and an industrial group of long experience and very good standing. The group is continuously expanding its activities, which now count a wide range of agro-allied activities that include cassava to ethanol processing and refining. At present, its factory is located in Jamata, Kogi State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Foundry Technician

Location: Lokoja, Kogi

Job Summary

• Perform a combination of tasks to include the melting of metals, pouring
  melted metals into molds, removing castings from molds, packing sand molds, moving sand, castings and other foundry materials.

Job Description

• Conducts research to develop improve methods of molding, melting, alloying, and pouring of metals.
• Mold assembly according to engineering drawings
• Sand casting process involves the use of a furnace, metal, pattern, and sand mold.
• Cleaning and spray coating of mold components
• Sizing of charge materials and castings by sawing, shearing, breaking, and other means.
• Melting equipment operation
• Casting de-molding and preparation
• Keep abreast of trends and changes in the field area of responsibility
• Promote the company’s values and philosophy in the performance of your services
• Perform additional responsibilities as required

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical or ND / Technical Certificate
• A minimum of 2 years hands on experience.
