We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Job holder shall be responsible for coordinating and negotiating with suppliers for project materials and strategize on delivery within the required budget limitations and schedule.
• Responsible for correspondence with OEMs on commercial issues and with the PM and DPM in copy of all such correspondences.
• Provide information on lead times for procurement items in the preparation of the project schedule to ensure adequate time is assigned to each time.
• Ensure his buyers/expeditors follow up and follow through on all procured items.
• Prepare a procurement tracker/report with details on status of each item and issue the report weekly to the PMT.
• Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
• Preparing procurement reports.

Requirements

• HND / Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years relevant work experience.
