Job Title: Head of E-commerce

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Head E Commerce will oversee channel development strategies, web architecture and infrastructure requirements, and collaboration of digital and technology, and operations teams to fulfil e commerce sales strategies.

Organisational Relationships

  • Reports to: Chief Sales Officer
  • Direct Reports: Associate
  • Internal Relationships: E Commerce Operations
  • External Relationship: Vendors and Suppliers.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Devise strategies that harness sales-related insights, prevailing standards, to drive online sales.
  • Ensure frameworks that transform the company’s social media sites into highly profitable platforms are created.
  • Oversee the decision-making for the website, social media accounts, and online advertising.
  • Own the company’s brand integrity online, monitoring and enforcing policies across E-commerce customers.
  • Develop and implement an E-commerce strategy to improve website performance.
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the rollout of website changes.
  • Define and implement the e-commerce channel sales strategy, plans and annual budgets, in line with the overall sales and organisational strategy, goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that online sales targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure compliance with defined policies, procedures, and guidelines in the execution of online sales activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness on consumer trends, preferences etc. of the online customers.
  • Ensure online sales promotion campaigns are designed specifically to effectively target online customers and proactively identify and present reports on potential revenue streams and customer needs to maximise revenue for the organisation.
  • Oversee the preparation of a comprehensive sales plan to increase market share within online customer segment.
  • Proactively gather customer data/ information and regularly update customer database to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality sales services to the company’s e-commerce customers in line with the agreed customer service charter.
  • Track and manage credit sales to e-commerce clients and follow up to ensure prompt payment.
  • Follow up with relevant departments to ensure constant availability of products for e- commerce customers.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company departments are kept informed of sales promotion initiatives for the e-commerce sales channel.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Sales Officer.

Job Specifications

  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, or related Social Science discipline.
  • Professional Qualification: Membership with relevant professional bodies.

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with digital marketing.
  • UX and platform development experience.
