Job Title: Learning & Development Consultant

Job Description

  • The Learning & Development Consultant will facilitate learning for various audiences, applying expertise to improve the standard training materials delivered to clients, with primary focus on the improvement of skills, training, delivery of learning curriculum, and achievement of business goals.
  • The Learning & Develeopment Consultant will also be responsible for creating and nurturing long-term relationships with clients, resolve any issues that may arise to ensure customers are satisfied with services provided, developing and implementing learning strategies/proposals and programmes, maintaining budgets, tracking proposals and relationships with clients/vendors as well as pool of consultants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate client learning objectives; to evaluate training objectives, requirements and effectiveness of delivery and comprehension.
  • Develop proposals that address client’s organisational needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Ensure learning approaches are credible enough and lead to positive business outcomes.
  • Develop client interventions that have positive business impact as well as implementing strategies that lead to retention of key clients.
  • Where applicable, identify partners and/or vendors and manage to partner for the learning delivery.
  • Suggest and implement new ideas and approaches for enhancing company value and reputation as well as building strong productive relationships with partners.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by developing and maintaining excellent relationships and effective communication channels.
  • Manage the customer relationship for all clients to develop consistent revenue stream
  • Develop and maintain strong synergistic relationships with colleagues and clients, including those internal to Human Resources (e.g., Heads of HR, Heads of L&D, Talent, Development Leads & Business Partners)
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to ensure high quality programmes are developed, customized, approved, maintained, revised and properly documented as required.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the learning and development space to establish learning solutions that meet strategic capability needs.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 5 - 10 years work experience.
  • Display a good understanding of the Learning and Development cycle, instructional methods with specific skills in learning and facilitation strategies.
  • Track record of driving customer success and aligning within complex customer environments.
  • Have sound research and analytical skills, coupled with excellent attention to detail.
  • Project management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of instructional methods and training techniques, including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning theory and strategies
  • Communication Skills: must have an exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external business partners and clearly transfer knowledge to learners.

Organisational Skills:

  • Ability to effectively handle the different responsibilities of a learning consultant, as well as manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge and perception of soft skills training, developing training simulations, and management training.
  • T Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
  • High level of leadership responsibility, accountability and ownership.
