The Candel Company Limited was incorporated on the 10th of September, 1992 as a Private Limited Liability Company to carry on the development, production, marketing and distribution of agrochemicals, specialised fertilisers, seeds and allied products in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Lagos

Description of Responsibilities / Functions

• The Electrical / Instrumentation engineer will lead a holistic approach to electrical / Instrumentation Projects, Capex, Maintenance, Utilities & Asset Care.
• He will play a key role in achieving the site operation's targets and managing cost.
• Responsible for all operations in the Electrical / instrumentation department. Driving compliance, enforcing technical/functional adherence/compliance, reporting & maintaining electrical/instrumentation standards in the factory to achieve set plant efficiencies.
• Responsible for Capability Development of all electricians.
• Responsible for all Safety, Health and Environmental related to electrical / instrumentation projects
• Identify maintenance improvement opportunities through in-depth analysis and strong stakeholder relationships as it relates to electrical / instrumentation.
• Take responsibility for all electrical / instrumentation failure troubleshooting and resolution with regard to time management.
• Drive adherence to implementation of all electrical / instrumentation checklist and also take responsibility for checklist modification for continuous improvement.
• Take responsibility for all electrical / instrumentation asset and take charge of all electrical / instrumentation installations with a drive for cost optimization.

Requirements

• Education required is a minimum of 2nd Class Upper degree in either Electrical Engineering or Electrical Electronics.
• The candidate for this role must possess up to two years of Electrical / Instrumentation maintenance and project management experience in a reputable FMCG or chemical industry.
