Job Summary

  • We needs an experienced and good content writer / Journalist, who is a passionate journalist to monitor the market and to write investigative articles, feature stories, and create good content to improve productivity in line with organizational mission and vision.

Job Description

  • We are looking for enthusiastic journalists to contribute timely and accurate news/information on our digital publication platform and all social media platform
  • Generate and Develop authentic educational news stories daily
  • Write and optimize educational news stories for the website and social networking accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram.
  • Develop and edit educational-related videos for the site regularly.
  • Coverage of educational events.
  • Sourcing of adverts for the website.
  • Ability to upload content on Word Press Management System.
  • Attain key performance indicators such as generating more visits to the site, reducing the website bounce rate, increasing dwell time or improving conversion.
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns. Continually work on the Search Engine Optimization of the website. Arrange webinars and webcasts with our readers online.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree in Mass Communication, English, Marketing or any related field
  • 2 - 4 years experience.
  • Must have proven working experience as a journalist / content writer and curator.
  • Demonstrable experience in SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising.

Requirements:

  • Writing, rewriting and proofreading text ability
  • Writing headlines, picture captions and story summaries
  • Editing reports and press releases
  • Liaising with journalists, reporters and editors
  • Verifying information and story details
  • Gathering and preparing routine information
  • Designing page layouts
  • Ensuring stories are the right length and they are correctly placed on pages
  • Making sure stories are accurate and do not compromise the legality
  • Sizing photographs and placing them within features
