We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Performing risk assessments.
- Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems.
- Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.
- Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years relevant work experience.
- Relocation is required for persons living outside Umuahia.
- Ability to conduct research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing.
- Prior experience establishing safety procedures for people working with chemicals.
- Prior experience developing methods for separating components of gases and liquids or for generating electrical currents.
- Designing and planning equipment layout.
- Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production.
- Candidate must have ability to troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes.
- Candidate must be able to evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Ability to draft process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.
