Job Title: F&B Supervisor / Head Chef

Full Job Description

• This is role will require the ideal candidate to supervise the entire kitchen and oversee all kitchen and restaurant activities ranging from directing and organizing the staff, controlling kitchen costs, creating menus, etc., to ensure guest satisfaction and profit maximization.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant staff's work schedules.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
• Approve and polish dishes before they reach the customer
• Manage and work closely with other Chefs of all levels
• Create menu items, recipes and develop dishes ensuring variety and quality
• Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
• Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant kitchen to ensure proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.
• Monitor the restaurant’s cash flow and settle outstanding bills.
• Review customer surveys to develop and implement ways to improve customer service.
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Check-in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service.
• Monitor inventory and ensure that all food supplies and other restaurant essentials are adequately stocked.

Preferred Qualifications

• Secondary School Education or Degree in Culinary is required
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as a chef / f&b supervisor is required

Qualities:

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
• Relevant Food Safety certification
• Relevant Health and Safety in the Workplace certification
• Awareness of manual handling techniques
• Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
