Job Title: Production Chemist
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- To help in supervising and directing all production lab activities in conformation to standards and best practices.
- Perform laboratory tests to produce chemicals according to established standards & guidelines.
- Document laboratory activities for reference purpose.
- Monitor and report progress of analytical tests to superiors on a regular basis.
- Coordinate, prioritize and plan lab tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ensure final product meets quality & consumer specifications.
- Suggest improvements for test procedures to achieve project objectives.
- Develop standard procedures to improve quality & efficiency.
- Maintain sufficient stock of chemicals & supplies to perform lab experiments.
- Train junior chemist on test procedures.
Qualification
- A degree in chemistry, industrial chemistry, biochemistry and any other related field is required. 10+ years multi industry experience inclusive of FMCG experience.
