Job Description
The successful incumbent will act as a consultant for the construction supervision of a water supply and distribution system project. He / she will act as the key interface between consultant, contractors, clients and funding agencies
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Provide construction management and contract administration services
- Working as part of the construction team, responsibilities include: support to the contract manager and Project Managers during pre-construction / construction phases to final handover of project to the Operations team.
- Monitor correspondence and contracts throughout the projects ensuring compliance and timeous submission of reports, notices etc.,
Requirements
- Degree in Civil engineering / construction Management
- Minimum 10 years’ professional post-graduation experience with experience in design, construction supervision and contract administration
- Excellent understanding of FIDIC construction contracts
- Must have professional experience in developing countries (Africa preferably)
- Must have been involved in at least two water supply projects in developing countries
- Must come from a consulting background
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Must be capable of managing internal and external resources
Contractual information
- 18 – 24 month contract
- Residential in Nigeria with travel between cities
- Family of single status
