Job Description

• Our client requires the services of a Senior Supply Chain Officer who will manage supplier relationships and negotiate the procurement and contracts for parts while ensuring compliance to our policies and procedures, and achieving the best overall value.
• He / She will be responsible for purchase order placement and execution, supplier follow-up and capacity development and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

• Follow the MRP to generate the forecast for suppliers required and obtain confirmation from suppliers
• Prepare and release Purchase Orders IPO / Form M/LC on time as per the planned orders generated by the ERP
• Update Purchase Orders in regards to quantity, confirmation date, ship date, and delivery date.
• Request pending deliveries from suppliers and correct P.O. accordingly
• Escalation at the right time, conduct meetings with Suppliers, cross-functional teams to address the issues
• Solve all discrepancies on invoices due to prices and non-expected extra costs
• Coordinate all general mailing actions to be taken related to supplier issues
• Coordinate with Logistics for freight forwarding & customs clearance
• Update the supply matrix (lead time, delivery times, MOQ, minimum and maximum lots, etc.)
• Daily review of shortages & Overstocks
• To maintain the Inventory target set by the organization
• Knowledge of Advance license, SON & customs process
• Work cross-functionally with sales and branch managers to drive cost, delivery, quality, and supplier development.
• Manage relationships with suppliers for purchase order execution
• Manage problems and schedules changes
• Actively participate in the supplier performance review

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an Accredited College or Institution (or a High School Diploma / GED).
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in Sourcing and Supply chain).
• Experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, Sourcing or Supply Chain Operations is an Added advantage.

• Experience in a Buyer role in trading or related industry
• Manufacturing or Shop Operations experience
• Ability to analyze data and perform pricing analysis
• Experience with the sourcing of new suppliers/vendors
• Ability to utilize Excel for data analysis
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute program
