Job Title: Reinsurance Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Description:
- Developing reinsurance strategies in line with overall objectives of the Company
- Drive origination and acquisition of all new reinsurance business for the Company
- Develop and maintain good relationships with various influencers and decision-makers needed to acquire business
- Ensuring compliance of all reinsurance placements with NAICOM guidelines
- Ensuring that our reinsurance strategiesmeet the objectives of our clients
- Evaluating individual reinsurance placements and advising on alternative strategies
- Reviewing all placing information and documentationfor accuracy
- Preparing presentations, proposals and post-placement reports as required Managing overall relationships with cedants and reinsurers
- Maintaining an up to date database of reinsurers and their financial ratings
- Preparing and presenting the annual budget for the Reinsurance department
- Conducting annual review and updating of the procedural manual for the Reinsurance department
- Staying abreast of developments that might impact the business of the Company and keep all relevant parties up to date
- Any other duties assigned by the Head of Technical
- Presentation of regular reports
Requirements
- A smart, experienced and result-driven professional
- Good communicator with adept negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Graduate with minimum 2nd class lower/lower credit
- At least 4 years’experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of all insurance products
- Experience in energy and marine insurance essential
- Must be a chartered insurer
- Candidate must have worked in a REINSURANCE COMPANY.
