ARFH is one of the leading indigenous non-profit organisations in Nigeria committed improving the quality of life of underserved and vulnerable communities by promoting access to quality health care and harnessing community capacities for sustainable development.

Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) is a national, non-governmental organization established in 1989 and registered in 1991. The organization has her headquarters in Ibadan and 3 other offices in Abuja, Kaduna and Katsina. Our mission is to initiate promote and implement in partnership with other organizations, developmental, HIV AIDS, SRH and family planning program and interventions for young people and adult through capacity building, technical assistance, operations research, and evaluation to improve the quality of life in Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa. These programmes focus on mobilizing people for behavioural and attitudinal changes that promote best sexual and reproductive health practices in order to reduce diseases burden particularly STI, HIV & AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis which are currently devastating families and communities globally and Nigeria in particular.

We are currently recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: State Consultant - iCCM (2 positions)

Locations:
Adamawa and Kebbi States

Specific Responsibilities
  • Support the introduction and scale up of iCCM implementation.
  • Carry out advocacy, communication and community mobilization for the iCCM strategy at LGA and Community level.
  • Provide technical support to improve systems for iCCM implementation in all aspects of service provision.
  • Support the SMOH, SPHCDA and the LGAs in ensuring an enabling policy environment for the implementation of iCCM.
  • Participate in iCCM supervision, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Prepare the monthly state programmatic and M & E reports
  • Support the preparation and publication of program outcome reports in the form of human interest stories and other program success stories.
  • Support iCCM medicine and commodity security by providing support to SPHCDA and SMoH to strengthen the procurement and supply chain management.
  • Social mobilization to improve access of iCCM services.
  • Contribute to health system-strengthening activities.
Qualifications
  • A degree in medical sciences is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post graduate qualifications in Public Health, public health programming and experience in child health or Life-saving Skills.
  • Experience with national, international or government agencies is required with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent written and spoken English Language.
  • The candidate should have Proficiency in the use of Computer applications in MS Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and relevant web based M & E software for data management and project reporting.
  • The candidate should have good understanding of the local language(s) and cultures of the specific state and resident in the project state.
  • The candidate should also have the ability to carry out his/her duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
