Eclat HR Consulting Limited - Our client, a Hospitality company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Administration
Report To: General Manager

Key Responsibilities
They seek a facility manager who can deliver or is willing to learn how to deliver on the following:

  • Run maintenance in all the equipment and machines at the hotel.
  • Oversee and agree on contracts and providers for services including security, parking, cleaning, catering, technology.
  • Analyse risk factors in the hotel and advise.
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds and security
  • Ensure that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained
  • Manage budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Allocate and managing space between buildings
  • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Advise businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee building projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
  • Draft reports and make written recommendations.

Education and Work Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / related field (Electrical).
  • Experience in similar position at a hospital, hotel, and experience in top brands in the industry.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience as a Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer.
  • Must have experience in repairs / maintenance of ACs, Generators, plumbing etc.

Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, to enable professional interaction within staff and management, both internal and external to the hotel.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Ability to prepare work reports, develop and administer template.
  • A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage work stress and take own initiative.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality.
  • Fair knowledge IT skills, including a working knowledge of presentation software packages, preferably Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
